Common sorrel has been cultivated for centuries. The leaves may be puréed in soups and sauces or added to salads. Surprisingly, they have a flavour that is similar to kiwifruit or sour wild strawberries. Sorrel also provides a significant amount of fiber, very few calories, almost no fat, and some protein. In terms of vitamins, it is rich in vitamin C and also contains vitamin A, B-6, iron, magnesium, potassium, and calcium.

Grows best at: 18°C – 24°C
- Please note that Sorrel is heat sensitive and grows best at 64 to 72 °F (18 to 22°C). A higher temperature than 75°F (24°C) inhibits germination and normal growth.
- It takes just one lamp arm to grow Sorrel. If the lamp is too far, your plants may stretch out and produce less yield.
- You may start harvesting single leaves approximately three to four weeks after planting. Alternatively, harvest the whole plant after five to six weeks of growing - it is up to you.
- Harvest all your Green Sorrel plants before seven weeks of age. This is to ensure it has the best taste and the highest nutritional value.
